2026 Giving Day
On 8 May, Giving Day 2026 will bring the BGS community together to support the important redevelopment of our outdoor education facilities at Pepperina Hill, Lake Moogerah.
For half a century, the site has helped thousands of boys form strong friendships, build resilience and gain practical skills that complement their classroom learning.
As we celebrate Moogerah’s 50-year anniversary, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to honour its legacy by future-proofing the site, so it continues to inspire and support boys for generations to come.
Double your impact
This Giving Day, we are hoping to raise $650,000 to support the revitalisation work. As part of this campaign, gifts will be matched thanks to the P&F Auxiliary and a number of matched giving partners.
Matched donations are a simple way to boost your contribution to the Outdoor Education Program, so together we can make a real difference for our students.
We are encouraging supporters to consider a gift starting from $50 – in honour of 50 years – which will become $100 thanks to matched donations.
We also continue to gratefully accept larger donations for those who wish to make an even greater impact. Every donation – big or small – will help create a legacy for the next generation of BGS students.
Engraved Giving Paver ($2,000)
An engraved giving paver offers a simple yet lasting way for an individual or family to celebrate their connection to this special place, while helping to secure its future for generations to come. By dedicating a permanently engraved paver, you’ll create a meaningful tribute that becomes part of Moogerah’s landscape.
Name a Dormitory ($30,000) - SOLD OUT
Support the construction of six new student dormitories designed to enhance comfort, safety and personalised pastoral care. Naming opportunities will be acknowledged with permanent signage and official School recognition.
Your Impact
Your support will help ensure the site meets contemporary safety, accessibility and student wellbeing standards, while helping to preserve the site’s natural beauty.
The project will be delivered through a series of staged upgrades, due for completion in 2027, which include:
- Six new dormitories (6 beds each) to support improved pastoral care and student wellbeing
- A new, safely located workshop facility
- Expanded activity areas and emergency accommodation capacity
- Enhanced accessibility, pathways and fire safety compliance
- A place of significance acknowledging Indigenous culture and Country.
How to Get Involved
- Donate on Giving Day when all donations are matched
- Stay across live progress updates on the day
- Champion the cause by sharing the campaign with your family and friends
Make a Pledge
Pledges can be made over a period of up to five years (at a minimum of $5,000 per year), offering donors flexibility while supporting the overall project. Gifts of all sizes contribute meaningfully to the renewal of Moogerah.
Every contribution helps ensure Moogerah can continue to deliver safe, highquality outdoor education and support the wellbeing, development and confidence of BGS boys.
Your support assists in creating modern facilities that preserve a much loved part of the BGS outdoor education experience while preparing it for future generations.
