Pepperina Hill Upgrade
For nearly 50 years, Pepperina Hill on Lake Moogerah has been a treasured part of the Brisbane Grammar School’s facilities and Student Wellbeing program. Nestled amidst the stunning Scenic Rim landscape, this special place has been where boys have grown in confidence, forged lasting friendships, and learned invaluable lessons about leadership, resilience, and respect for the natural world.
Since 1976, Pepperina Hill has been so much more than an outdoor education centre — it is a place where memories are made, challenges are met, and young men are shaped. The experiences here, from quiet moments under the stars to adventures on the high ropes, stay with every BGS boy for life.
As Pepperina Hill celebrates 50th anniversary in 2026, we have a unique opportunity to honour its rich history by renewing and enhancing this treasured site — so it can continue inspiring generations of boys to come.
A Vision for the Future
We are seeking to raise $1.2million to fund important upgrades at Pepperina Hill — improvements that will enhance safety, comfort, and capacity, while preserving the natural beauty and unique character that make it so special.
Our plans include three development stages, with construction set to be complete by 2027, marking 50 years of celebration with a renewed commitment to Outdoor Education and Student Wellbeing.
Why This Matters Now
Pepperina Hill is a cherished place, but its facilities need renewal to meet modern safety and accessibility standards and to support the growing importance of hands-on, nature-based learning. The upgraded centre will provide a nurturing environment where boys can thrive — physically, emotionally, and socially — supported by staff who live and breathe outdoor education.
